Quick Notes

I feel like this entire month has been such a whirlwind. Even going on vacation I never really relaxed.

Anyway some quick notes.

Fashion show is in 3 weeks. Almost ready for it.

Never put off what you are capable of doing now. I know I've heard that somewhere before. Whoever said it is right.

I think all libraries should be beautiful. It's the one thing my university is really missing. And it depresses the hell out of me. Oh well, there's always this beauty in Vienna I should go visit.

Versace/ Printemps 2010

Versace
Head Designer: Donatella Versace
[5/5]

Donatella, you are amazing.
-- watch --

An absolutely stunning collection. Glamorous, youthful, powerful, sexy, colorful, feminine. How she put the garments together is undoubtedly flattering to the shape of the female body. It's extremely current and make no mistake Versace is gonna earn the big bucks on this collection. Fabulous.

Not to mention her inspiration: Alice in Wonderland. What an incredible transformation from fairytale to a tangible beauty. Seriously, I want to be Alice in this story.

And yes, the text to my posts is suppose to go before the photos, but it just wasn't working out that way this time haha.

Fendi/ Printemps 2010

Fendi
Head Designers:
Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld

Luxe.
Perfect Silhouettes. A mop of hair to envy. Shoes that look like they would feel like ballet ribbons around the foot. Bravo Fendi.

PRINTEMPS 2010: MB FASHION WEEK NYC

...is officially in full swing. I'm melting over the insane talent we've seen in just the last few days. Summary: Jason Wu caught everybody's attention with a to-die-for collection. Everybody is on edge waiting for Marc and Donna tomorrow. Seriously, I can hardly focus on school right now this is so exciting. I spose it would be even harder to focus if I actually was in NYC.

Unexpected favorites:

Benhaz Sarafpour - Wasn't very impressed with the last few seasons, but I like quite a few things from her Spring 2010.

Reem Acra - Never heard of the label, but it is my personal favorite so far. The jewlry is unbelievably gorgeous and current. Besides being the perfect level of classic and feminine for my taste, the prints are fabulous. Expect a history report on this name soon. I must be educated!

Rebecca Taylor - So easy to emulate. Current looks. Very young, XXIish. Some of the looks reminicent of a past marc season. Nevertheless, I dig.

Karen Walker - Feels like Reem. Again, jewelry is amzing. HATS; check them out.

Local Talent

A few of mes amies and I went to a local fashion show today. Very impressive. This kid just graduated from high school and already has put out two collections. While rather amature in feeling (see the American dad cross-legged with his white socks and khakis) , it was still enough to make me go "sweet". Took as many photos as I could.
